A Farewell Message from Alicia McCallister
Dear Holy Spirit Parish Family,
It is bittersweet for me to share that I will be stepping down from my role as Coordinator for Confirmation and Youth Ministry, with my last official day being August 5, 2025. I will be moving to Aliso Viejo next week and have accepted a new position at a nearby parish, Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
It is not easy to say goodbye to a parish I have come to care for so deeply. But after much prayer and reflection, I feel a deep sense of peace and joy in taking this next step. While I am truly sad to leave, I also feel confident that God is calling me into this new chapter.
Serving at Holy Spirit has been an incredible blessing. I am so grateful for the ways you have supported, encouraged, and journeyed with me. Whether it was through Mass, ministry events, or moments of shared faith and service, your kindness and generosity have meant so much to me.
Please keep me in your prayers as I navigate this transition, and know that I will be holding all of you in prayer as well. I leave with a heart full of gratitude and appreciation for this wonderful community.
With love and gratitude,
Alicia McCallister
Confirmation & Youth Ministry Coordinator

The time has come! We are excited and "almost" ready to open the doors to our newly remodeled Doyle Hall, classrooms, and kitchen!
Before we can do so, it will be "required" for all ministry and group leaders, as well as anyone who is interested, to attend one of three upcoming Town Hall Meetings in the church to discuss our Shared Usage Policy. These spaces are a blessing for our parish community, and with your support and cooperation, we will keep the facilities organized, welcoming, and well-cared for.
Town Hall Meeting Dates:

Welcome to Holy Spirit, Reverend Father Hoa Xuan Tran
Dear Parishioners,
I am very excited to be here with all of you. Please let me introduce myself a little bit. I was born and raised in a cradle Catholic family in Vietnam. My priesthood vocation began at age 12, when my pastor and mother encouraged me to become a priest. In 2008, while I was preparing for the exam to enter the seminary in the Archdiocese of Hanoi, I was chosen by my archbishop, Most Reverend Joseph Kiet Quang Ngo, to study in the United States under the sponsorship of the Diocese of Orange. After 9 years of studies, I was accepted into the diocese by Bishop Kevin Vann and was ordained a priest in 2017. I was assigned to Saint Martin de Porres for 4 years, Saint Bonaventure for 2 years, and Saint Cecilia for the last 2 years.
I am very happy to be assigned to this parish community, as you are now my new family. I am looking forward to being here with all of you to worship the Lord, our God, and together, we will build up this community. I am here to serve, so please let me know if I can do anything to help you to grow in holiness and to worship God better. I humbly ask for your prayers, kindness, and patience. I will pray for you daily at the Eucharistic Table of the Lord. Together we praise the Lord, together we build our family here at Holy Spirit, and together we grow in our love and devotion to the Lord, our God. May God bless all of you with His gifts of peace, joy, and happiness.
Sincerely,
Reverend Fr. Hoa Xuan Tran
