  • Dear Holy Spirit Church Family
With deep sadness, I have accepted the resignation of Tom Leeman, our Business Manager. Tom has accepted the same position at Saint Edward the Confessor Parish in Dana Point. This opportunity allows him to be closer to his family, especially being able to participate more frequently in the lives of his grandchildren. Tom and Linda have been members of our Holy Spirit Church Family for more than 20 years. And for the last three years, we were blessed to have him as our Parish Business Manager. His spirit of service, love of evangelization, and dedication to our Parish makes him difficult to replace. Tom’s working slogan, “All for The Glory of God,” truly speaks volumes of his personal and moral character. He will truly be missed!
Please pray that we will find a replacement quickly, but most importantly, the right candidate for our needs. If you are interested in this position, please send your resume to Agnes Pham, Office Manager, at agnesp@hsccfv.org. For a complete job description, please click here. We wish Tom and Linda nothing but the best. God speed!

Send us your Holy Spirit, guide our steps, strengthen our hearts, and fill us with enthusiasm in building your kingdom of peace, justice, and love. Mary, Our Lady of Grace, intercede for us that we may become a community of faith materially, relationally, and spiritually. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

The Faith Formation Program at our parish is in need of Catechists. We invite you (parents, teachers, college students….) to consider being God's messenger to spread the Good News and open the children's hearts to the Lord. As a person of faith, you can share your own faith experiences. This can be your love of God, your gratitude for God's many gifts, and your personal friendship with Jesus. You could volunteer as main teacher, assistant, office helper, or special events. Classes are open on weekends and weekdays, from kindergarten through high school for Confirmation.
As we take time each week to celebrate the Paschal Mystery in the Eucharist and to rest from the burdens of our daily lives, we remind ourselves that we are made in the image and likeness of God who “rested on the seventh day from all the work he had undertaken” (Gn 2:2).
To celebrate the Lord’s Day more fully, consider trying the following:
·Don’t use Sunday as your catch-all day for errands and household chores.
·Share a family meal after Mass. Have the whole family join in the preparation and cleanup.
·Go for a walk or bike ride and give thanks to God for the beauty of nature.
·Spend time reading the Bible or a spiritual book.
·Pray the Rosary or the Liturgy of the Hours, alone or with others.
·Visit parishioners and others who are homebound.
·Read Bible stories to your children.
·Turn off your gadgets and enjoy the silence.
